Their ceramics are very hard-wearing, able to resist cracks, fading, and the stress of dishwashers and microwaves. (You can pre-heat it in a low oven, at max 150°C, from room temperature so it is warm when serving, but do not use in the oven otherwise.) This durability is a result of an energy-saving manufacturing process that fires only once at 1285°C rather than the standard three times. Jars factories also recycle all the water and heat used in production, keeping waste and pollution to an absolute minimum. This Jars Tourron Soup / Cereal Bowl has a simple round shape and non-porous glaze that has a unique, natural pattern that emphasises the purity of handmade stoneware.
